Kelley was born and raised in Charleston. She attended the College of Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. Upon graduating from USC with a Master of Mass Communication, Kelley moved to Greenville.
She began her career in public relations management for an advertising agency. She then spent several years as a sales executive before becoming the Director of Marketing for Northwestern Mutual in Greenville. She was quickly promoted to Director of Selection, which is where she found a true passion and calling in recruiting. Kelley spent nearly eight years with the firm, eventually becoming the Chief Recruiting Officer for the largest network office in the country. In addition to her local responsibilities of recruiting financial advisors, she coached recruiters in the Carolinas and GA. Kelley enjoyed being able to give back by speaking at regional and annual meetings, and she also flew to the home office to teach classes for the national recruiter training classes. Kelley was selected as the first ever recipient of the Annual Meeting Recruiter of the Year - Southern Region award in 2015.
For the last 8 years, Kelley's been recruiting in the real estate industry, first at Keller Williams Realty, then at a local independent brokerage, where she led all recruiting and development efforts, helping them grow from 30 to 150 agents, in less than four years. Kelley is thrilled to find herself back in financial services recruiting. She's honored and ready to embrace this career as MassMutual SC's Agency Recruiting Director! Personally, Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband of 16 years, Jeff; trying to keep up with her 10 and (almost) 12 year old children, Khloe and Kam; leading worship frequently at her church, as well as other local outreach and recovery events; and loving her rescue terrier/schnauzer mix, Randy.
